This policy explains how Friday Studios (Pty) Ltd trading as Outsource Think ("Outsource Think", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit outsourcethink.com or send an enquiry.
Who we are
Outsource Think is operated by Friday Studios (Pty) Ltd in Cape Town, South Africa. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to [email protected].
Information we collect
Enquiry information
Our enterprise contact form may ask for your:
- First and last name.
- Work email address and phone number.
- Company and job title.
- Annual revenue range.
- Services of interest.
- Specific needs or project context.
- Answer about how you heard about Outsource Think.
You may also provide information in later correspondence. Please do not send passwords, special-category personal information, confidential production data, or other sensitive material through the public contact form.
Technical and usage information
Our hosting, application, and security systems may keep server records such as your IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, timestamps, referring page, errors, and indicators of suspicious activity. We use these records to deliver and secure the site, prevent abuse, and diagnose faults.
Google Analytics is consent-gated and does not load unless you accept analytics. If enabled after consent, it may collect information about pages viewed, approximate location, device, browser, referrals, and interactions.
Cookies and consent storage
The site uses cookies or browser storage needed to operate the site and remember your choices. The consent system stores gtm_cookie_consent and analytics_consent for up to 365 days. Accepting allows consent-gated analytics to load. Declining records that choice and analytics remains off.
You can clear cookies and browser storage through your browser settings. Doing so may cause the consent strip to appear again.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Deliver your enquiry through Resend and respond to it.
- Assess whether our services may suit your organisation and arrange further discussion.
- Keep reasonable correspondence and server records.
- Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website.
- Understand aggregate website use after analytics consent.
- Meet legal obligations and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
We process information to take steps you request, with consent where consent is appropriate, for legitimate business and security purposes, and where the law requires or permits it. An enquiry is non-binding and does not require you or Outsource Think to enter into a client relationship.
Service providers and disclosures
We use service providers that process limited information on our behalf, including:
- Resend to deliver contact form and related transactional email.
- Hosting, monitoring, security, and infrastructure providers required to operate the site.
- Google for analytics only after you accept analytics cookies and a tenant-specific analytics identifier has been configured.
We may share information with professional advisers, regulators, law enforcement, or courts where reasonably necessary and legally permitted, or in connection with a genuine restructuring or transfer of the business. We do not sell personal information.
Some providers may process information outside South Africa. When information crosses borders, we take reasonable steps to use providers and safeguards that support an adequate level of protection as required by applicable law.
Retention
We retain enquiries and correspondence only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, consider a potential engagement, maintain business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal or accounting requirements. Security logs and consent records are retained for periods appropriate to their purpose. Information that becomes part of a client engagement may be governed by the applicable proposal, master services agreement, statement of work, or other client agreement.
We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed, subject to lawful backup and recordkeeping requirements.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No internet transmission, service, or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Your choices and rights
Subject to the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) and other applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Ask whether we hold personal information about you and request access to it.
- Ask us to correct, update, delete, or restrict personal information.
- Object to certain processing or withdraw consent.
- Complain to South Africa's Information Regulator or another competent authority.
To exercise a right, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where the law requires or permits it.
Children
The website and our services are intended for organisations and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 through the enquiry form. If you believe a child has submitted information, please contact us.
Third-party links
The site may link to websites or services that we do not control. Their own privacy terms apply when you use them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the website, our practices, or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be communicated where the law requires it.
